It has been a while since I've updated my blog on what has been happening. Last year found my spending over three months on the West Coast of Australia looking after my Auntie after surgery and the rest was here on the East helping my son and looking after my own health.
I am due to surgery soon and hope this will assist in my voice fully recovering and once again being able to use this tool as a medium for my arts expression. I am in the hands of a wonderful professor and his guidance.
With my little creatures, I am still creating them. I have just finished the Matildas team and hope to post them soon. That has been a huge journey and hopefully a reel will be created outlining the journey of these little creatures.
Over the past several years with my health commitments to others and myself I felt it easier to stick to creating ranges. As an artist in the Cementa24 Art Festival, I created a beaded map Re'Kleimme for Act 2, Confessions of the Heart (image above) and last year I had an opportunity to collaboration with a local artist with her exhibition on Mount Everest. Creating a small batch of 11 Re'Kleimmes which I called 'Finding Peace'. I was gifted a couple of Laos sarongs (picture below of sarong fabric) from a dear friend who had wore them to temple to prayer. It was an absolute joy connecting and creating for purposed again. So with this being said my future plans are to create theme based Re'Kleimme collections.
Currently I'm working finishing orders (a local shop) and excitingly gathering fabrics, threads and buttons for the up coming spring collection for 2026. This theme encompasses friendship. It's a beautiful story behind this collection which I will share in the coming months.
So take care, be kind to each other and stand in your power with my love and light.
